Happy Fourth of July!!!!

I had a fantastic weekend so far this weekend.  It started off Thursday night right after work when I picked up a friend of mine and we went to dinner.  I will admit that I cheated on my diet that night because we went to the Japanese Hibachi restaurant. There I got lobster tail, filet mignon, and scallops on the hibachi.  Its always entertaining to watch the chefs prepare the food on the hibachi.  From there we went to the drive-in movies and saw Transformers 2 and Star Trek.  This was the second time for me seeing Transformers and the fourth time for Star Trek.  I did doze off slightly during Transformers but I made it through both movies (which lasted until almost 3 AM). 

Friday was pretty much a wash--I slept until 9:30 AM.  When I got up I stayed in my pajamas and watched TV while lounging around on my bed.  After I lunch I decided to take a nap since I was still tired from the night before.  Much to my surprise when I woke up it was 8 PM!  I slept my day away!  I got up and did a bit on the net and went to bed by midnight.

Saturday I woke up at 5:30--not sure why as I never set an alarm but I was up and awake so I started my day.  I went to my old bedroom in the main house and did some cleaning.  I have a ton of old stuff up there that I don't need.  I cleaned out a filing cabinet drawer and ended up shredding so much I filled 3 large garbage bags.  Around 10 AM my cell phone rang and the technician from Verizon called me to say he'd be there in a few minutes to check out my DSL.  My internet signal has been really, really slow the last few weeks and it took me a while to call and report it.  The technician found the problem and I am now back in action and at normal DSL speed!  Its like night and day!  I spent the rest of Saturday still cleaning and getting stuff done on the net that I haven't been able to get to because of the slow speed.

Today, Sunday, I woke up around 6:30 AM and I got ready and went to the flea market again.  I love walking around at the flea market on a Sunday.  I found some good deals including a really cool Star Wars stein and a Princess Leia 12 inch figure:

I vacuumed my place and did a bit of cleaning.  A friend of mine called and wants to see Ice Age this afternoon so I'll be doing that and tonight I'm having my reflexology session so the rest of the day should be fine too.

This week I'll be reading the most recent copy of the Star Wars Legacy comic which I just received in the mail:

The other bit of news is that the online Star Wars book club I've been talking about starting for a while now officially starts this week.  We will be reading:  Star Wars:  X-wing:  Rogue Squadron.  I've never read this series and am looking forward to it!
