My Day Today: Day one of my seven day work marathon is over. It was an interesting day to say the least. I saw some things today that I hope I will not have to see again for a very long time (if you really want to know--ask on the yahoo group LOL). After work a buddy of mine had asked if I wanted to go to the movies. We were both interested in "She's Out of My League" as it looks good (and there is a hockey sub-theme to it supposedly). With the way I was feeling and after my first day back to work I was exhausted I asked if we could forgo a trip to the movies but instead go and watch a DVD. He had not seen Iron Man and with the second one coming out (I think this summer, right?), he had wanted to see it. So I ran an errand to the grocery store where I picked up some healthy foods--mostly fruits and vegetables for my new focus of low carb, high fiber and high protein diet (still doing Weight Watchers). So then we watched the movie (well he did--I ended up on my lap top reading email). We then had dinner--a great chef salad I made and melt sandwiches. After her left I just kind of rested for a while and started getting things ready for tomorrow. Hockey: Although the Royals lost today in a shoot out, my Penguins won in a shoot out! At the moment the New Jersey Devils are losing to the Flyers. I generally root against the Flyers but tonight I'm with them as I want the Pens back in first place! Scifi / Genre: This morning when I was getting ready I re-watched "Caprica" from Friday night and it is making better sense now. But how did Sister Clarice get out of her car before it blew up? I'm still baffled there. I've also been reading some reviews of this past week's "Supernatural" episode. I can't believe there are critics out there who are saying this wasn't a good episode. Jim Beaver was fantastic! I even commented that he should get a nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal in the episode. So I have no idea if these "critics" were watching the same episode I watched but yeah it was amazing. And that is pretty much it for today! I hope you all have a fantastic Monday and thanks for sharing in my Outlandish day! Jace |
