I haven't blogged in a few days because well I've been moody lately.  Last week I was just darn near miserable (and those who chat with me can attest to that).

My fortune started to turn last Thursday night.  I worked a later shift at work to attend an event but got home in time to see Supernatural (which was a great episode).  Every Thursday I participate in the Supernatural live chat that is hosted by the Yahoo Group:  Supernatural on the WB.

At the end of the chat (we stick around after the episode as well) I started doing some online shopping for some Supernatural merchandise.  I ordered issues of Supernatural magazines second and third editions and their variant covers but realized I couldn't find the first issue anywhere.  It was recommended in chat that I ask in our group and low and behold I was contacted by a member who I met at Eyecon.  Not only is she sending me a copy since she had an extra but she won't accept any money for it.  This is beyond selfless on her part--it really touched me.  All last week I kept feeling underappreciated in all aspects of my life and her generosity just plain made me feel good.  So my many thanks to her.

Friday after work I met up with a buddy I haven't seen in a while.  He and I grabbed a burger and then went and saw Iron Man.  Iron Man was a great!  I wasn't much of a Marvel comics fan (in fact I didn't read comics as a kid instead I watched the cartoons based on comic characters).  Therefore, I didn't know the back story and on top of that I'm not a Robert Downey Jr. fan so I wasn't sure how well I'd like it.  But the film blew me away and the additional scene after the credits--again awesome!

Saturday morning I woke up and got ready as I attended a PSWCS meeting which was about an hour and a half away.  For the first time, I met another Star Wars fan who joined the group and lives locally.  We met up and carpooled to the meeting together which was nice to have someone to talk with on the ride especially given how long it was.  We got to the meeting and the first part of the meeting was a meet and great.  The host had hot pretzels, popcorn, chips, and an awesome pizza flavored dip that was home made.  The food was great.  At that time I met up with a member who attended Celebration Europe and while there he bought the exclusive McQuarrie Concept C3PO and R2D2.  He sold it to me at cost mint on card in a protective case.  In addition, he gave me a Darth Maul bookmark, Darth Maul mini poster, and Darth Maul post card!  That was really nice of him!  Here's the Celebration Europe figure:

After the Meet and Great we have "Show and Tell" where members bring an item from their collection and show them to the others in attendance.  One of the guys who came showed me a picture of himself he had taken with Ray Park (actor who portrayed Darth Maul) and then he gave me a magazine he had that had Maul on the cover.  After "Show and Tell" we played a trivia game which was really cool but hard.

Next the host provided dinner which included mini quiche, hotdogs and hamburgers, macaroni and cheese, cake, and a huge chocolate chip cookie that was sliced like a pie.  That was really nice of the host and his family to do--they didn't need to do that for us so it was really nice.

After the meeting a bunch of the folks from the meeting decided to go see Iron Man so I went along and saw it for the second time.  It as nice seeing it twice as I caught things I didn't the night before when I saw it.

I got home late and went straight to bed.  Sunday I cleaned my aquarium out since the four fish in that aquarium died.  I cleaned it real good and filled it.  And this time I'll wait and let it sit a week to adjust and then just buy one fish (yeah I'm going to do it right his time).  My two male Bettas are doing great though in their little tank (there is a divider between the two of them).

After work today I got home to see my Supernatural merchandise arrived.  I got the Dean Winchester bust, a Supernatural mouse pad, a poster, and the second and third editions of the Supernatural magazine with their variant covers.  Here are some pics:

That's it for now, look for more updates later in the week.

Take Care Folks!
