Today turned out to be pretty hectic and I was very tired by the end of the day. I'm not sure if I mentioned it in a previous blog but my cardiologist has ordered a monitor for me. I began wearing a heart monitor on Monday afternoon and I had to wear it for 48 hours which meant no showering! I was able to shower only when I changed the electrodes 1/2 way through. I asked my boss to leave early on Tuesday so I could, in fact, shower and he allowed me to do so. But it felt really good taking the monitor off for good today. Imagine going to the gym and sweating like a pig and not being able to shower! I felt gross but took good "bird baths". So I removed the monitor today at 2 PM and after I went to the gym tonight I had a great shower--felt so good! So when I got home from work around 4 PM tonight--I really didn't want to go to the gym as I was really tired. But I kept my eye on the prize and thought of my end goal so I headed to the gym. After I got there I was glad I made it as I felt really good after my workout. Aside from that, not much is going on. I have the Pens / Vancouver game on and at this very moment the Penguins are up 3-1. Hopefully they will hold out and win this one. I have a very hectic couple of days coming up--I am having my reflexology / massage tomorrow night, the Royals play Friday night, I teach Saturday and I'm holding an open lab for my students at the University Saturday night, and the Royals play Sunday again. So I will be busy and might not be online as much as normal. After this week, only 2 more weeks until vacation! But who's counting! All the best, Jace |
