A Long Time Ago, In a Galay Far, Far Away . . . . .

The Vero Order

During the Swarm War, Luke Skywalker had held a dramatic meeting with all members of the Jedi Order where he had asked them to determine their priorities and where the Order fell in their life.  He asked that any member who could not put the Order first to leave of their own free will.  Sensing, a calling through the force that he could not determine, Jedi Knight Nurider Smox decided to indeed leave the Jedi Order to find the answer to this calling in a hope to gain self-enlightenment.

Nurider’s journeys took him to the Unknown Regions of space where he found a planet whose inhabitants were incredibly strong in the force. Being welcomed by the inhabitants, who were humanoid but of larger stature, Nurider made this planet, which was named Verotia, his home. During his time there, he served as an advisor to the government and people of Verotia, much like the Jedi had during the times of the Old Republic and were struggling to do with the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. One day a troubled boy was brought before him. This boy, who was large even for Verotian standards, had a very strong presence in the force so Nurider began training this boy, Urquisties, in the ways of the force. He was quite talented but often became arrogant because of his abilities. Despite Master Nurider's teachings, Urquisties arrogance won out and he turned on and attacked Nurider.

In that lightsaber duel, Nurider believed he had killed his student. Ashamed of what happened, Nurider left Verotia despite the Verotians urges for him to stay. Master Smox spent the next several years searching and moving around the Unknown Regions. It was there that he found an infant who he later found out was of Chiss descent. Nurider raised this boy, whom he named Danner Truskx, and taught the boy in the ways of the force. Many years later Nurider along with Danner and his family, had settled on Dancarto, an uninhabited planet in the Unknown Regions. On a routine trip to another world, they were attacked by an unknown assailant who left Danner's wife dead.

After receiving yet another calling through the force, Nurider, with Danner at his side, returned the known galaxy and made contact with the Jedi Council on Coruscant. In the time since their return, the Jedi Council have officially included both of them in the Jedi Order granting Nurider the title, Jedi Master, and Danner that of Jedi Knight.

Recent weeks the Jedi Council has been sensing a disturbance in the force that has been progressively getting stronger. The Council has charged Nurider and Danner to lead a team to the Unknown Regions, which is where the disturbance has been emanating from, to investigate . . .
